Home Run!
Blake got his first home run tonight! He was thrilled and pretty impressed with himself. I was sitting on the 3rd baseline and Blake gave me a quick smile as he headed into home. After lots of high fives from his buddies Blake left the dug out and came over to make sure I'd seen it all. He then asked every person he passed on the way back to the dug out if they'd seen his home run. Way to go buddy, we're so excited for you!

Happy Birthday Grandma
After Blake's baseball game we headed to Anacortes to celebrate Grandma's birthday. It's really fun to have my in-laws so much closer. My kids didn't want to leave, Lauren said the best part was eating ice cream for lunch! Happy Birthday Jean!!
The Rays
After many cancelled practices and games, the Rays finally got their season underway on Saturday. Blake had a great game (when he wasn't busy goofing with his buddies). This year the boys are playing coach pitch, which makes the game a lot more fun to watch!

Art Show 2014
Lauren had her first ever Art Show on Friday evening. My girl loves doing art, so she was really excited about the show. Lauren's class had practiced a dance for the evening as well. Lauren told me there would be tape on the floor so they would know where to sit when the show started. When we arrived Lauren promptly took her place on her piece of tape, a good 15 before anyone else sat down. I asked if she wanted to play with her friends until it was time, but no, she preferred to stay put. Her class did a great job when the show finally started and it was great to see Lauren so proud of her beautiful projects.
