Wellness
Blake had his 15 month wellness appointment today. He is 22 lbs. (25th percentile - finally out of the 15th percentile!) and 32.5 inches, the 75th percentile. His head has grown to the 90th percentile - all those brains! I knew Blake was getting his molars, we found out today he is getting a whole mouth full of teeth, which explains our sleepless nights.

Pumpkin Prowl
We went to the pumpkin prowl at the Woodland Park Zoo with the Evatt's this evening. It was a blast, so many kids in darling costumes and thousands of pumpkins. We hope to make this a yearly adventure. There were vendors with treats for kids (and parents) all around the zoo, lots of candy, Top Pot donuts, caramel apples, cider and hot chocolate and a haunted house. Blake is still buzzing around from all the sugar and fun!
The Pittman Family
Lots of pre-halloween fun!
Friday evening someone rang our doorbell. When we went to answer it we found two bags of candy and a note. We were to deliver two bags of candy to two other neighbors the next night. Well, of course the next night was the Husky game, so Blake and I were dashing around the neighborhood trying to deliver candy with out getting caught. It was pretty fun, but would have been much easier with Chad!
Sunday morning we got up and did a little pumpkin carving. Well, Chad carved, Blake watched and I cooked the pumpkin seeds.

Watching Daddy very closely.
Quick break to read Bingo, Blake's new favorite book. Chad and I have sung B-I-N-G-O about 1000 times this weekend - gets a laugh every time!
Lou is thrilled with all of the festivities.
Our family of pumpkins, Lou is the bone, Chad has fangs, Blake has the circle mouth with one little tooth and I have the smiley face.

Superman
more pumpkins
Blake and I picked up a few more pumpkins for Halloween.
Helping move the pumpkin, he didn't get very far with this one.
I'm not really sure what they were talking about...
"Touchdown!" Blake likes to do "touchdown" every now and again, for no particular reason.
All done playing outside. (Our front doors are the only doors he cannot open...yet.)

Wilderness Hike
Saturday afternoon we thought we'd hike some of the Cougar Mountain trails near our house. We hiked and hiked to a "lookout" that was very unimpressive. Then we got lost and ended up in a neighborhood in Newcastle. Chad swore he thought the trail was a loop :) After around three hours in the woods we made it home. Next time we'll bring a map and more water. Chad and I were taking swigs out of Blake's sippy cup.
We made it to the lookout.
This was the view, just more trees!
Blake was a trooper, he was giving me high fives most of the way.
Even Lou made it okay. Bulldogs are supposed to be lazy, but I have always known we got the only energetic one on the planet. Good job Lou.
Pumpkin Patch
Today we drove out to Remlinger Farms to pick out some pumpkins for Halloween. We wanted to go when the doors opened at 10 a.m., however Blake fell asleep on the way, so we toured Carnation for an hour and got there just in time to meet up with everyone else from greater King County. But it turned out to be such a beautiful day, we had a lot of fun.
Family tractor pic
First we hit the corn maze. Chad and Blake had fun, I thought it was a muddy mess with rotten corn!
Then we set out to find the perfect pumpkin.
"I found it!"
Blake found a pumpkin just his size...
...and then he gave it away. He has quite a way with the ladies :)

Whitefish, Montana
Blake and I went to visit my parents at their home in Whitefish this past week. We had so much fun. We hiked Glacier National Park, went swimming and for walks. It was fun to spend some time with my parents and I got to have a little free time to get a massage and some extra rest!

Blake went up the hike in the backpack, but wanted to come back down on his own!

Grandma, Grandpa and Blake
As we were driving back down the Road to the Sun we saw a bear!
Blake and Mom in red. (I didn't intend for us to match!)
Grandpa doing some entertaining at dinner :)

Grandma and Grandpa ordered Blake his first sundae, huckleberry ice cream with whip cream and a cherry. As you can see, he really got into it!
