Lauren has been asking about Grandma Claudia quite a bit. She wants to know about heaven, how we get there, can you get out once you're there, and on and on. I do my best to explain what I can on her level with out being scary to my very sensitive girl. I've also been telling her more about my mom, for instance one of her favorite things were the stars. The other morning Lauren made Grandma Claudia a bracelet and asked if we could mail it to heaven. She's also been singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star at the top of her lungs, so Grandma Claudia could hear her in heaven.
Sometimes it's a hard pill to swallow. Lauren, your Grandma Claudia would love every single ounce of you, I just know it.

Tattoos
Princess tattoos are all the rage at our house right now...
That's a giant Sleeping Beauty on my son's back. He thinks he's HILARIOUS.

C-Hawks
Blake's winter basketball team decided to name their team the "Seahawks". Evidently there were already three other Seahawk kindergarten basketball teams, so now we are the C-Hawks. One of the dads made a video of the first game - a win! Go C-Hawks! (Blake is number 9.)

Merry Christmas 2013
This year we all headed to Whitefish for Christmas. A great time was had by all. Thank you Grammy and Grandpa for having all of us...and all of our crazy eating habits for the holidays! It was so fun to have all of the kids together on Christmas morning but most of all it was amazing to watch these kids ski! Grammy set the kids up with a fantastic teacher, Lori, who got the girls up on skis and ready for the chair lift. Lori also took Blake to the next level of skiing. He was on every single lift on the mountain and skied all but Christmas day. It was pretty great to have Chad, Blake, Lauren and I on one chair lift together - whole new era! We all enjoyed the hot tub and cocktails in the outdoor room after our days on the slopes. Somehow we ended up with spectacular weather and some really pretty sunsets too.
Super Bear Thomas and Noddy made it to Tana too!
One afternoon we saw over twenty elk pass through the yard.
Christmas eve the kids ate dinner and they each wrote letters to Santa and then read them aloud to us. Lauren's started out "Dear Santa, I love you. I might have been a wittle bit naughty. I love you." I loved the honesty!

Our fancy dinner at the clubhouse.
ski video
My Dad got a GoPro camera for Christmas and he let me take it up to the mountain to document Lauren on skis. I got plenty of footage of her skiing carefully down the mountain under control and making turns. Then she wanted to take one more run on the "magic carpet" and SHE wanted to be the leader.
