best bath ever!
I decided to give Blake his first bubble bath tonight. It seemed like a good way to keep him busy since Chad was out at the baseball game and I was on my own for the night. Boy was it ever! I finally convinced Blake to get out of the tub an HOUR later - now he looks like a happy little prune.
Although Blake had never had a bubble bath before, he was very excited to try it out...

Buddies
Gig Harbor
The other weekend Chad, Blake and I took a day trip to Gig Harbor. It was a beautiful day out and we got to enjoy lunch out on the deck at Anthony's.
Blake loved running all over the ferry - here was our attempt at some family pictures!

The highlight of the ferry ride...we didn't actually start the video game for him, but he didn't seem to mind :)

Lunch on the deck, Blake enjoyed pointing out the sail boats and fishing boats.

True Love
Blake has always been fond of a little girl named Ella. We met her last fall in our Little Gym class. Since then, they've taken a music class together and we've had a few play dates here and there. Ella had to have a pretty major surgery, so Blake hasn't been able to see her for close to a month. On Thursday, Ella wasn't feeling up to our music class, so when we got there Blake said "Ella doctor"? He finally got to see his friend on Friday at Little Gym. He went right up and gave her a big hug. She hugged him right back until they both fell over. Later we packed up the kids and headed to Starbucks. Here is a picture (camera phone pic - sorry!) of the two little love birds waiting for their "coffee".

Well, it looks like Blake is going to be a dragon for Halloween this year. We were at Old Navy the other day and Blake saw the costumes they had on display. Now, I had told Chad earlier that I was going to pick out Blake's costume this year because I thought I would be the last year I could. A three year old would definitely want to pick out their own costume.....evidently two year olds do too! I didn't even know Blake knew what a dragon was, but he kept pointing out the dragon costume saying "dagon". When I asked "what do dragons say"? He replied with a loud "roar"! So, after he carried it all around the store, we got the dragon costume. He wanted to try it on for Auntie yesterday.
Blake picked out a Christmas book for Alison to read to him. I guess he likes to celebrate everything at once :)
My Mom's friends hosted a baby shower for Alison yesterday afternoon. Alison has 8 more weeks to go! Although Baby H. seems excited to get here, things have calmed a bit and he or she seems to be okay "cooking" a bit more before his or her arrival.

PEPS 2nd Birthday Party!
Saturday afternoon we had our PEPS 2nd birthday party. Last year was filled with new walkers, first time cupcakes and lots of doting parents. This year was a bit more action filled, lots more playing, running, jumping, "sharing", pushing and a few tears here and there. It has been such a great experience to watch these little ones grow up together. The parents have all come along way too!
Our best effort at a group shot.
All of the kids got to pick out a balloon to take home.
Murray and baby Luke. (Luke was the first sibling of the group!)

Zoo
I decided to take Blake to the zoo on Tuesday. We hadn't been in awhile, Blake was much more in to the zoo this trip! He said good bye to each animal we saw and talked about the monkeys the rest of the day, so I am guessing those were his favorites.
Clearly I take too many pictures...Blake is far more interested in the lady's camera than the wild cat two feet behind him!
I think the chimp wanted some of Blake's snack.
Going to town on the drums.
And the highlight of a trip to the zoo is always this tractor!

Christmas Morning...
...for Chad anyway! Chad has been very excited all week and the big day is finally here. It's officially the start of another Husky football season! Chad and Blake were up bright and early watching Game Day. Blake and I decided to skip the tailgate due to the weather, but I got a few pictures before Chad left for the game. We asked Blake who he thought was going to win today, he said "Cougars no win" and "Huskies no win". Hmm, safe bet.
