The Pumpkin Prowl

We made our second annual trip to the Woodland Park Zoo's Pumpkin Prowl on Sunday. We had so much fun, it is a riot to see all the little ones dressed up. Blake and Laurel figured out trick or treating right away, and I think Blaine was getting the hang of it too! We even managed to go during the one dry hour of the day, which was really nice.

Laurel waiting for some treats!

My little dragon looking very serious - he was checking out all of the other kid's costumes.

Blaine...trying to escape from his costume :)

It was nearly impossible to get a picture of these three together.

Cabin Fever

Blake has had a pretty nasty cold since last Saturday. Although he is almost over it now, we've stayed home most of the week trying to avoid all the neighborhood kids home with the H1N1 flu. I think today Blake snapped - while I was making him a snack he decided to TP our playroom!

Let the Halloween Fun Begin!

Every year our neighborhood plays a little Halloween game where someone knocks on your door, leaves you a treat, a ghost on your door, and instructions on what to do next. Our house was hit Monday night, so on Tuesday it was our turn to take treats and a ghost to two houses that didn't have ghosts on their front doors yet. Last year Blake had no clue what was going on. This year I don't think he knew exactly what we were doing, but he was having fun anyway. Here are a few pictures of Blake (in his PJs) before we headed out.

"So we're giving these away?"

Ready for our mission.

Evidently when you hand your kiddo two bags of Halloween candy he'll spontaneously tell you he loves you "this much"!

Fall Photo Shoot

We've had such a pretty fall, I thought I'd better get some pictures before all the rain and wind come back.

Pumpkin Patch

On Sunday we took Blake to the Remlinger Farms Pumpkin Patch. Last year we skipped the rides and just did the pumpkin patch. This year Blake got to experience the rides, kettle corn and lots of little kids! My pumpkin with the pumpkins.

Riding the pig (fake pig!)
We could have skipped Remlinger Farms all together and just gone to the Suzuki dealer.

Blake and Daddy on the train.
Blake checking out his horse"Loganberry" (the smallest pony I've every seen).

Blake and Loganberry's trainer coming in after the ride. Although Blake looked very serious the entire ride, he talked about his horsey ride the rest of the day.

Rattlesnake Lake

Today Chad, Blake and I headed out to Rattlesnake Lake near North Bend for a hike. The hike is up a pretty big ridge to a great lookout point. However, when we got there Blake wanted nothing to do with the backpack...."no pack pack, go lake"...so we did the loop around the lake instead. Blake walked most of it himself, Chad carried him through the rough terrain. It was a great day, we all had so much fun out in the sunshine!

This was the original destination.

Throwing rocks into the lake quickly won out over hiking.

My hikers, Chad with an empty backpack :)

We saw some fall colors!

Again throwing rocks into the creek, he later started jumping in the creek and got pretty soaked!

Hiding out, he didn't want to go home.
