Practice

Today Blake and Chad went to the Husky football practice. They had a great time, Blake had his hat signed by Jake Locker, Nick Montana and Mark Bruener. When he got home he told me "the lellow team colored my hat at pwactice" (Jake Locker was wearing yellow - which makes him the "lellow team"). He wasn't overly impressed, I think he thinks they ruined his favorite hat.

Frosty Pittman

We found out on Monday baby Pittman #2 is breech. Because Blake was breech, I had about a 10% chance of having another breech baby. I knew before I went to my appointment this little one was head up. I remember feeling Blake's head just below my ribs for weeks and this baby feels just the same (except he or she likes to do karate kicks every morning!). So we've planned a c-section for May 10th! I am getting more excited and nervous every day. Blake is such a busy boy, two kids should be really interesting.
Blake still really wants a sister and he has picked out a name...Frosty. I'm not sure what we're going to tell him if it's a boy and his name isn't Frosty. Blake asks every day if the baby is coming or if it still needs to grow. Most mornings he crawls into bed with us and "snuggles" the baby which is pretty cute.
I find myself a little sad that this time of having Blake as our only child is coming to an end. But I am thrilled Blake is going to be a big brother and will get to experience all that goes along with having a sibling.

First Day of Boating 2010

It was so nice out yesterday we decided to head out on the boat. We were out for around 3 hours and Blake loved every second of it.

Tulip Festival

Alison and I decided to take Georgia and Blake to the tulip festival today. Here are the things girls love about a tulip festival:

Here are the things little boys like about tulip festivals: Setting your 5 month old cousin in the mud and using her head as a drum.
The sign said no running in the tulips...I caught up to him about half way through the row.

Home Opener

Someone must have told Blake today was the Mariners' home opener. He has been practicing his pitching (in the house...thanks Daddy!) for over a week now. He tells me that he is the pitcher and the man with the scary mask is the catcher. I have been really impressed with his baseball moves! This would have made a better video...but this is what I've got. (Please excuse the lovely garbage cans in the background.)

Blake has also become quite the little bike rider these days. He no longer likes his trike, he only wants to ride his bike with training wheels.

Dinner Dates

We had some friends over for dinner this weekend. They came over at 3 and were out the door by 8ish, my how times have changed! We parked all of the cars on the street so the kids could drive all of their cars in our driveway. They had a blast, it's so fun to see these three grow and change together.

Mercer Island Carnival

A friend told me about the carnival held every year for little ones at M.I. High School so we went to check it out Saturday morning. Blake had a good time.

Fishing with Daddy

All Blake had to say about his fishing prize was "this is not a fish".

He loved the scooter course.

Little Chef

We are having some friends over tomorrow afternoon so I thought I'd whip up a few goodies. Of course Blake wanted to help. He is great at stirring, and he doesn't put his fingers in the bowl until I give him the go ahead. Then he gets to go to town on the bowl and spatula.

Sushi

Today I had to stop and get some paint at Restoration Hardware. On our way, we passed Blue Sushi and Blake noted that everyone inside was eating with chopsticks. I told him they were eating fish and rice and he exclaimed "I love fish and rice" (umm right). On the way back to the car he REALLY wanted to go in, so we did. I'm sure our waitress was thrilled to see the pregnant lady who can't eat sushi and a 2.5 year old sit in her section. Blake liked the tofu, rice and edamame, the whole way home he was saying "I eat soo-see". He got a big kick out of the food coming by our table on a "treadmill", but mostly he love his chopsticks.

True Fan

This is a picture of Blake from last night. He insisted on wearing his "number ten shirt" over his jammies.

Easter Egg Hunt

We went to our neighborhood Easter egg hunt and Blake cleaned up! He hunted for eggs with the 3 and under crowd...I think he'll need to go with the big kids next year.
This is just before the hunt started, I think he was putting together his game plan.

The little kids got to "hunt" for eggs on the tennis court.

His loot

The Easter Bunny was handing out eggs as well, but Blake decided to share his with the Bunny. He also shared with a six year old boy who was crying because he didn't get very many eggs. I think that was before Blake realized there was candy inside each egg :)
