My Little Reader

Blake loves books. Sometimes he likes to be read to, other times he does the reading. The other night he went straight from the bath to do some light reading (flipping pages while he babbles).

Happy Turkey Day!

Blake thought it would be nice to spread some books around the room to share with our guests.

Our crazy turkey! Chad loves bacon, so this year we put the turkey on the bbq covered in bacon. It turned out really well - good job Chad!

Cheers!

Practice Turkey

Chad and I are hosting Thanksgiving at our house this year. We thought we'd better try out a few of our recipes before the big day. Jeff, Erin and Blaine came over to have some turkey too. Blake and Blaine

Jeff reading some pre-dinner stories.
Who doesn't love pumpkin pie? Blake and Blaine saying hi to Louis.

Apple Cup - does anyone really care??

So last years bet was that who ever won Apple Cup would get to dress Blake up in their team's colors the following Apple Cup. So Blake will be wearing Coug gear to watch the two most losing teams in the nation duke it out. Blake has a hand me down outfit from Tyler Dallas that he tried on today, a little big, but it will do!

My little climber

My mother-in-law mentioned awhile back that she thought Blake was going to be a climber...and boy was she right. Blake wants to climb everything! Today I brought the ladder in to change some light bulbs in our family room - what was I thinking?!?

The MMR

Blake got his measles, mumps and rubella shot two weeks ago. Most kids do just fine, however Blake has had a rough go of it. He's had a fever, then a rash on his face and has just not been himself. Grandpa came to visit and read some books to Blake. In the last day or two he's been feeling much better and the rash is clearing up.

Thank you!

I wanted to say a big thank you to my in laws for taking care of Blake while Chad and I were in San Diego! We had a wonderful time. I didn't take many pictures, I was busy shopping, walking on the beach and having cocktails with my hubby :)

I love avocados!

Last week when I brought the groceries in, I left one bag on the floor as I was trying to get a few things organized. Then I heard crack, crack, crack - Blake was throwing eggs at the hardwood floors. This week he pulled out an avocado and dove right in. I am going to have to find a new system of getting the groceries in the house.

A very important phone call

I would love to know what he was talking about :)

Halloween wrap up

Blake and I went to a little get together with our PEPS group. It was REALLY hard to get a picture of them all together.

Auntie Alison and Blake, a little snuggle time before it was time to put his costume back on.

We had some friends and family over on Halloween. Blake wasn't sure what to make of baby Lila (3 weeks old).

Checking out the kids at the door.
