Besties

The other week we celebrated Georgia's health! (Our second celebration, but it's something to be celebrated!!) I didn't take any pictures, but Alison managed to get this one of our sweet little ladies. When I told Lauren that GG was coming to play she kept checking the front window to see if they had arrived. Once they had, she exclaimed "GG" and ran around like crazy. Lauren is still at the age where she likes other kids, but for the most part they get in the way of her playing with her toys, except for her cousin. Lauren and Georgia are all hugs and kisses and love.

Nisqually Wildlife Refuge

It's that time of year again. Each busy season we try and do some sort of family adventure on Sundays and spend some quality time together. Chad suggested the Nisqually Wildlife Refuge, it looked great online, four miles of trails and boardwalks. When we got there we saw that it's actually a bird sanctuary, full of "birders", quite possibly the nerdiest people on the planet. There was a sign that said "no dogs", "no running", "no fishing", etc. But there is an unspoken rule among "birders"...your supposed to be quiet too. Great spot for small children. We hiked around anyway and went for milkshakes after. Overall it was a fun afternoon.
Not off to a great start...

He was much happier once he got to hold the binoculars.

The exotic birds.
Lauren liked to yell "duckie"...I'm sure the "birders" were highly impressed!

21 Months

Twenty one months, it's been a really fun month with Lauren. She has more and more favorite things, her brother's frog boots, her doll and her snowman pajamas. She regularly diapers her doll and brings her with us everywhere. She holds her baby up in the car to make sure she can see out the window and baby gets a taste of many of the things Lauren eats (I found a cranrasin lodged in her little mouth the other day). I can tell she is headed toward two, Lauren wants to do so many things by herself. The other day we spent a half an hour in front of our house so Lauren could master the front stairs by herself. Then it was baby's turn, Lauren would chuck her doll down the stairs and then clap and cheer for her doll's accomplishment.

Ready to hit the slopes
This is where I found Lauren while Blake was at school the other day. In her snowman pajamas of course, snuggled up, "reading" in her brother's bed. (Lauren has to wear clothes to leave the house, but she is quick to changed back into her jammies when we get home, my girl is all about comfort!)
Nay nay, as Lauren says, is her favorite way to run around. She's even happier about it if her brother is "nay nay" too. So, at some point in the afternoon I usually have two naked people running around my house, they think it's pretty hilarious.

Lauren

Here are some random pictures from the last week or so. Last Friday Georgia came over to play with Lauren while Blake was at school. GG, as Lauren calls her, is Lauren's favorite person. She is constantly asking to see videos of GG or to do facetime, which always ends with kissing my phone. Pretty sweet.

Playing night night...with Grandma Claudia's blanket no less. She sure would love this.

Getting some exercise

Lauren has plenty of dolls, but only one with a plastic head. I had no idea plastic heads were so cool. This baby now goes everywhere with us.
